Our work with the Armed Forces
Being the home of the British Army, our links and work with the armed forces are of vital importance to us. Over the years, we have collaborated on multiple events and initiatives that have brought us closer, and solidified our bond.
Veteran’s Hub
Every month, we hold a Veteran’s Hub here at the EBB Stadium where we invite local veterans and their families to attend and enjoy some complimentary hot drinks and food. Each Vet’s Hub we have a guest speaker to entertain our guests.
Supporting Military Events
Here at the Shots Foundation, we do our best to support and be present at all military events, including Remembrance Day, Armed Forces Day, Victoria Day, the Aldershot Garrison Christmas Carol Service, the Aldershot Garrison Health Fair, the Fijian Bula Festival and more!
Working with the Royal British Legion
Together, with Aldershot Town FC, we support our local branch of the RBL by providing access to facilities for meetings, assisting with fundraising and offering complimentary tickets.
Other examples of our involvement:
- Through our Community Stand Scheme, we invited multiple armed forces groups to the EBB Stadium for free, including Veterans, forces families, Cadets and more.
- We have close ties with our local Garrison, with the Garrison Commander sitting on the board as a Trustee.
- Support local military school Talavera Junior School with after-school clubs.
