After School Clubs for the 2024-25 School Year
We will continue to run after-school clubs this school year. Our clubs are delivered by FA Qualified, and experienced coaches. Across the 2023-24 academic year, 235 children from local primary schools engaged with our after-school clubs across 6 local schools, with 55 of these children attending multiple clubs.
Our schools programme aims to keep children active, promote their enjoyment in sport, and enhance the skills learnt through participation in sport. We have seen such great progress and hard work over the past few months and we are very proud of our young footballers!
We have had over this school year term just gone with 93% of our young footballers, and their parents, saying they would send their children to a Shots Foundation after-school club in the future! One parent said “My son really enjoyed these sessions, was very talkative about them afterwards which is unusual for him at times given his autism. Thank you for all you did for him.”
Each child who attends a Shots Foundation after-school club will receive a FREE family ticket to the Community Stand for an Aldershot Town FC home game of their choice in the 2024/25 season as part of our Community Stand Scheme. Last season 85 children and their families took advantage of this offer and attended a fixture at the EBB Stadium; for many it was their first experience at a live football match.
