Holiday Camps
School Holiday Camps
We run holiday camps in the half-term and term holidays throughout the school year. The camps last from 10am-4pm and we work on a variety of skills, including but not limited to:
- Defending
- Attacking
- Passing
- Dribbling
- Teamwork
- Speed & Strength
Whilst we like to develop their football skills, the days are always centred around having fun, and keeping the children safe. Our team of first-aid qualified, and UEFA qualified coaches ensure that all children are looked after, and have a good time. Football, and wider sports camps, form essential parts of the half-term and term holidays. They are not only a healthy and productive way for children to enjoy their time off, but they also greatly help parents by offering affordable childcare. Our camps always run from 10am until 4pm. This is an hour longer than the majority of other holiday camp providers, and we made this adjustment to allow parents to work later and fulfil their work commitments.
Across the 2024/25 academic year, we welcomed an average of 64 children to our camps in half-term breaks. They have been delighted with the visit of first team players Haydon Vaughan, Keane Anderson, and more throughout the year, and have also had the chance to see the FA Trophy. First-team manager Tommy Widdrington frequently visits our camps, and he said, “It was great to come visit the holiday camp and see all the future footballers we have on our hands. Seeing them having such a good time really shows you the importance of the work we do in our community.”
All our young footballers who attend a camp are gifted a matchday programme and a fixture list for them to choose when they can attend a fixture at the EBB through the Mike Pusey Community Stand Scheme!
Our holiday camps are well received by both parents and children. Over the last academic year 35% of children who attend a camp have come back to attend another! One parent told us that it wasn’t her son’s first time and that “the fact that he chose to come to Shots for a week knowing that his friends were booked to go elsewhere speaks volumes to the quality and welcoming personalities of the coaches, and to his enjoyment and how safe he feels. Thank you all very much!”.
We’re delighted to continue delivering camps in Hook and Aldershot going forward. See below for the confirmed holiday camp dates to come this upcoming summer:
- Monday 27th October – Wednesday 29th October – The Cambridge Primary School (Aldershot)
- Wednesday 29th October – Friday 31st October – Hook Junior School (Hook)
