Mini Shots (EYD)

Mini Shots (Early Years Development)

Mini Shots is an EYFS-aligned physical development programme that improves movement skills, confidence, communication and school readiness through fun, structured play.

Why get involved with Mini Shots?

  • Helps support your EYFS objectives.
  • Delivered by experienced, qualified coaches.
  • Provides CPD for your staff.
  • Engages children of all abilities, including those SEN or EAL.
  • Provides school readiness for your children.

This year we have had the pleasure of working with the Aldershot Garrison Pre-Schools (AGPS). AGPS have three early years settings:

  • Toye Box Pre-School
  • Clocktower House Pre-School
  • Queen Mary’s Day Nursery

Across these sites, approximately 80% of the enrolled children come from armed forces families, which has allowed us to further our reach and impact into our local military community.

Since October 2024, we have been visiting all three of these settings and delivering weekly themed sport sessions. These sessions are tailored to the developmental needs of early years learners, combining play-based physical activities with imaginative storytelling and movement. Our work has been well received by the children and they enjoy taking part in our fun, themed sessions. Whether they are imagining themselves as pirates navigating the seas, or monkeys swinging in the trees, they are all engaged and showing great progress. We’re looking forward to continuing our work with these children in the next academic year.
