Extra-Curricular Support
After-School Clubs
Our after-school clubs (ASCs) are there to promote enjoyment in sport and exercise through football and physical activity. We want children, regardless of their abilities, to keep active and increase their enjoyment in sport. Our hope is that they continue to engage in sports and lead an active lifestyle after they have attended our clubs, even if that’s not necessarily within football.
Our after-school clubs provide children with the opportunity to develop their coordination, fitness, and footballing abilities, but our focus extends beyond technical skill. While we do occasionally identify children with standout potential, our emphasis is always on enjoyment, participation, and inclusion. In cases where children demonstrate exceptional ability, we ensure that appropriate challenges are introduced to help them continue to grow.
We are continuing to expand our schools programme year-on-year with a 42% increase in children benefitting in this academic year (2025-26) compared to our first (2023-24). Feedback from children is vital and we conduct regular ‘traffic light themed’ questions to gauge how they’re getting on. In this academic year, we found that 81% of the children scored their enjoyment as ‘green’ (good) and 92% of children felt that the club had some positive impact on their confidence in football (scoring either ‘green’ or ‘amber’; 61% and 31% respectively).

Curricular Support
Lunch Clubs
From September, we will providing several lunch clubs per week in primary schools in the local area. The purpose of these lunch clubs is to promote physical activity and encourage children to move for the recommended 60 minutes per day.
Our lunch clubs help schools achieve their sports goals by providing additional opportunities outside of curriculum provision, and helping give structure to their lunch time sports.
PE Delivery
The Shots Foundation also provide curriculum-aligned PE lessons within local primary schools during the school day, whether that is through CPD to provide teachers with more confidence and understanding in teaching sport, or for PPA cover, giving teachers more time to tackle their planning. These lessons are across multiple sports, we’re not just limited to football.
Our coaches who undertake this bespoke delivery have a minimum UEFA C qualification and good experience with curriculum delivery. Through this, we help schools provide a highest standard of coaching for their students.
“We have worked with Aldershot Town over the past two academic years now and they have provided lunchtime cover, after-school clubs, holiday clubs and professional development for teachers.
Jamie and his team have always shown the utmost professionalism and have provided a high quality service which we believe represents great value and widens what we can offer our children. Feedback from staff has always been positive and Jamie is in regular contact to ensure the smooth delivery of their services.
We have also received free match tickets, mascot opportunities, free club places and even a visit from the FA Trophy! We will definitely continue to work with Aldershot Town in the future.” – Mr Payne, Specialist PE Teacher & EVC, The Cambridge Primary School
