The Shots Foundation Fundraising Committee  
 
The aim of the Shots Foundation Fundraising Committee is to raise essential funds that enable the Shots Foundation to operate impactful community outreach programmes, fostering connection, support, and opportunity for all within the Aldershot area. We are committed to building a stronger, more inclusive community by empowering initiatives that address local needs and inspire positive change. 
We are seeking individuals to join us on our mission and welcome applications to serve on our fundraising committee, from applicants that meet the criteria contained within this application pack. 
 
Commitment 
  • Demonstrated passion for and understanding of the Shots Foundation’s aims and objectives. 
  • Willingness to act as an ambassador for the Shots Foundation. 
Time Availability 
  • Ability to commit to being present for meetings, events, and fundraising activities. Reasonable absence is expected from time to time, however applicants must be able to commit to attending all/majority of meetings/events/fundraising activities where possible.  
Fundraising Experience (Preferred but not Required) 
  • Previous experience in fundraising, event planning, sponsorship acquisition, or donor relations is a plus. 
  • Willingness to learn and actively participate in fundraising efforts. 
Communication Skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills. The applicant needs to be comfortable reaching out to potential donors, sponsors, and the community. 
  • Ability to work well with other committee members and organisational staff. 
Network and Outreach Potential 
  • Access to personal or professional networks that could be approached for donations or partnerships and the willingness to leverage these networks on behalf of the organisation (this will be a plus).  
Reliability and Professionalism 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on commitments. 
  • Be able to represent the Shots Foundation positively at all times. 
Creative and Strategic Thinking 
  • Ability to contribute ideas for campaigns, events, and other fundraising initiatives. 
  • Strategic mindset for identifying new funding opportunities that can be undertaken by the Shots Foundation. 
Ethical Conduct 
  • Agreement to uphold confidentiality and act with integrity and professionalism in all fundraising activities.  
Team Spirit 
  • Ability to collaborate respectfully with a diverse range of people, from all walks of life.  
  • Willingness to support other committee members and organisational leadership wherever possible.
