Rambling Shots

Rambling Shots

Rambling Shots is a walking group for all ages and abilities that meets on the first Wednesday of every month in the Aldershot and wider area. Free to attend, our rambles enable members to participate in gentle exercise along short routes specifically designed to be inclusive of all attendees. This ensures that everyone is able to reap both the physical and social benefits of a nice morning walk with friends, whilst taking in some pleasing scenery. Every walk also features a stop at a local cafe, either during or at the end of the route.

Since its inception in May 2025, Rambling Shots has conducted several walks around Aldershot. These have included rambles around Manor Park, as well as routes that have taken in Municipal Gardens, the Polo Fields, Aldershot Military Cemetery, Wellington Statue and other places of historical interest- of which there are plenty in Aldershot! We have also expanded our walks to include other local areas, visiting Frimley Lodge Park, Velmead Common, Southwood Country Park, Fleet Pond, Farnham Park, Lakeside Nature Reserve, Hartland Country Park, Bramshot Farm Country Park and Edenbrook Country Park.

In August 2026, our Rambling Shots group held a special Centenary Walk edition! We had 45 participants, plus the Aldershot Town F.C first team squad and staff join us in helping to mark 100 years of football at the Club.

More than just a walking group, we aim to provide a sociable environment that encourages new friendships to be formed and are always welcoming of new members.

Our Rambles are on the first Wednesday of every month, meeting for 10:30am. Please see below for our upcoming dates:
