Vets Hub Christmas Lunch
This week we held a special Christmas edition of our Vets Hub where we welcomed our Vets and guests to the EBB to enjoy some festivities! Throughout 2023, our Vets Hub has grown fantastically, we are delighted with this progress, and it was great to be able to put on this lunch to celebrate the year.
Our festivities included a traditional 2-course Christmas lunch, a raffle (with our top prize being a signed match ball from our FA Cup Qualifying Round that the Shots Foundation sponsored), Christmas carols led by Trustee Terry Owens, and a visit from Aldershot Town FC first-team players! We were joined by club Captain Stuart O’Keefe, Haji Mnoga, Ryan Glover, Ethan Burnett and Jack Barham who distributed raffle prizes, sung Christmas Carols, and spent time talking to our guests.
We also took the time to gift our Trustee Nick Burley his signed shirt on behalf of the Football Club and the Shots Foundation. As his time as Aldershot Garrison Commander has come to an end, we would like to thank Nick for the work he has done in strengthening the bond between our club and the Aldershot Military.
We would like to thank our caterers and their team for the fantastic lunch, the Aldershot Garrison, all of our sponsors and our team on the day for making sure that everything ran smoothly. We look forward to expanding our work with the military and our Veterans in 2024!
